Bengaluru: Lakshman Kumar, Srinivas and Ravi, three private individuals were arrested by the The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Task Force police on Wednesday for stealing files from the BDA head office.
The files pertained to a site allotted to B C Bharati for running Child Welfare Association to take care of orphan children.

The custody of all the three had been handed over to Seshadripuram police for further investigation since Task Force doesn’t have powers of a regular police station.
The BDA Task Force Superintendent of Police K N Jitendranath said that the trio were arrested with the files near the parking lot at around 5 pm when they were about to flee after stealing the documents from the BDA’s allotment section.
The site number 202 at Hosakerehalli in Banashankari 2nd stage was allotted to Bharati.
Srinivas had already stolen some documents and had sold the land to Lakshman Kumar. They had stolen original documents which should have been in the custody of the BDA, the official said.
“The Seshadripuram police will take up further investigation. The accused may have stolen some other document in the past. Among the accused, Lakshman was involved in similar acts in the past,” an official said.
