Bengaluru: Three persons died and four suffered injuries in separate accidents around the city during the last 12 hours.

Two persons died on spot at Basavapura gate near Bidadi after their car hit another car on the rear side. The accident took place early in the morning on Tuesday on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway.

The deceased have been identified as Basavaiah (65) and Somashekar (45), residents of Bengaluru. Four others were injured in the accident.

In another incident, the driver of an SUV died after he lost control over the car and hit the road median at Sadashivanagar on Monday late night.

The deceased is SM Sheikh, a resident of MS Palya.
