Bangalore :He is 20 years old and is always dressed in branded clothes. His lavish lifestyle is funded by his unique but illegal profession – stealing smart phones and laptops.  He is an expert at it, but his expertise needs honing it appears. He was caught red handed while trying to sell a mobile phone.

The police have recovered 26 phones  worth Rs 5 lakh . This is third time that Deepak has been nabbed by the police. The first two times , he soon got bail and he was back at his profession.

Deepak dresses like a student in branded clothes and hangs out  near people in high end malls. He walks beside people carrying smart phones or sits beside them at the same table pretending to be engrossed in his own phone calls. He will then observe the periphery  and pick up phones kept on tables or chairs nearby while their owners are engaged in their own conversations or  pick them up from bags of women who are otherwise engaged and then leave the mall.

He was also good at stealing laptops from homes. He would observe and gain entry along with others who entered the building and uniquely, steal only the laptop.

Deepak found it easy to dispose of these objects as the market was huge and  buyers were many. He use to sell these items cheap, as it was, after all ill gotten gain.
