Bengaluru: Unidentified miscreants poisoned tens of pigeons near the Dodda Ganapati temple in the Basavanagudi area of the city. Around 50 pigeons have fallen ill as a result.

According to locals, the incident came to light on early on Friday morning. Eyewitnesses say that the miscreants might have thrown poison-laced food at these pigeons.

Now, bird lovers are trying to save the pigeons by offering them water. Veterinarians are also engaged in treating the sick birds.
