Bengaluru: The streets of Pavagada town in Tumakur district witnessed strange scenes on Saturday after the devotees offered prayers to the Lord Shaneshwara as the temple was shut for offering pujas as per the Covid-19 lockdown rules.

August 14 was the last Shravana Saturday of this year and a huge number of devotees arrived at the temple to take the darshan and offer pujas. However, the authorities didn’t allow any pujas as per the rules.

The devotees offered prayers to the god from outside the temple gate. They kept the offering they brought near the temple road.

This temple is very popular in Tumakuru and Andhra Pradesh.
