Bengaluru: Shantinath, a trustee of the Shani Mahathma temple and a resident of BEML Gate, and the 56-year-old trustee in a temple near BEML Gate in Rajarajeshwari Nagar has been arrested for sending obscene messages to a woman.. The victim, who is 24-years-old, works as a maid and also resides in the same area.

On Sunday, she complained to her brother that Shantinath was constantly harassing her for the past few months by sending her lewd and obscene messages. He had also told her that he would pay her money for spending time with him. The victim’s brother got furious and beat up Shantinath. The victim approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused who was later arrested.
