Bengaluru: An employee with an IT company in Bengaluru has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his minor sister-in-law for the past three months.

The culprit has been identified as 26-year-old Venkatesh from Bogadi, who resides in Chandapura, Bengaluru.

Venkatesh was arrested by the police on the basis of a compliant registered by the mother of the 16-year-old girl molested.

Udayagiri police have registered a case against Venkatesh under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. Venkatesh married a few years ago and brought his sister-in-law to Bengaluru to provide her with better education. In the absence of his wife, he would sexually assault her.

The incident came to light when the girl spoke about her ordeal to her mother.
