Bengaluru: Sandalwood couple “Rocking Star” Yash-Radhika Pandit and their daughter Ayra have been the centre of their fans’ focused attention. Baby Ayra’s cute photos had received several ‘awws’ and ‘ahs’ as netziens went ‘gaga’ over them.

Recently, however, when Radhika Pandit shared a video of her conversation with baby Ayra in Konkani on social media, the netizens reacted in an unexpected manner.

In the video, Radhika can be heard having a conversation with her 10-month-old daughter in Konkani, her mother tongue. She can be heard asking Ayra, who is looking at her and Yash’s wedding photo, to identify who is her mom and dad.

Generally, the actress’ posts of Ayra receive appreciation, however this time, the netizens were quick to “suggest” to Radhika to speak in Kannada and teach the same to her child. Requesting her to preserve the language, some of the commenters suggested that she teach her child how to say ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ in Kannada.

Some didn’t even seem to know in what language she was speaking.

One of the commenters told the actress that it isn’t enough for her to speak in favour of the Kannada language in her movies. She needs to implement it in real life as well.

It can be recalled that Radhika had drawn flak on social media for speaking in English in another of her videos. The video was that of the star couple talking about a special gift given by their fans. The gift was that of the imprints of Ayra’s palms and feet inside a frame. Radhika was criticized by netizens for speaking in English throughout the video.
