Bengaluru: In a surprise move, CM BS Yediyurappa announced Rs 50 cr to the constituencies represented by JDS MLAs.
A lion’s share has been released to Ramanagar represented by Anita Kumaraswamy, wife of former CM HD Kumaraswamy.
If sources are to be believed then this development happened after the JDS leadership assured that the party will help the BJP win in both Sira and RR Nagar by-elections by eating into Congress votes.
JDS leaders reportedly also assured CM BS Yediyurappa that he will not be targeted.
According to the sources, this amount is released under the Chief Minister’s Nagarottana scheme.
Interestingly, the CM’s order reveal that this fund which is reserved for the developmental works in the urban areas can be used even for the works in the villages.
Rs.20 cr has been released to Ramanagara and Rs. 10 cr each has been released to Nelamangala, Magadi and Devanahalli. All these constituencies are represented by JDS MLAs.
