Bengaluru: With reports of protests by pro-Kannada groups against Sunny Leone performing in Bengaluru as was the case in December 2017, Praveen Shetty of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) stated that, she could perform in Bengaluru but only to Kannada songs.
Sunny Leone is set to perform at the White Orchid Hotel at Manyata Tech Park. Nine months ago, she was supposed to perform for a New Year’s event. However, this event was postponed and later cancelled due to protests.
This time, the event comes just two days after Karnataka Rajyotsava, where she would be performing to three songs, including a Kannada song.
The protests in December 2017 were on the basis that the performance by Sunny Leone would not be appropriate according to the state’s ‘culture.’ The event was cancelled as police could not spare extra personnel to provide security.
