Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has appointed Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murty as the head of the Karnataka tourism task force.
The decision was announced during a review meeting of the tourism department held on Sunday, August 4 at the Vidhana Soudha.
CM Yediyurappa had invited Sudha Murty to the meeting, following which he made this announcement.
According to sources, Yediyurappa urged the tourism department authorities to use the full potential of the tourism opportunities in the state as it will help the government create more job opportunities locally.
“The new task force will meet once a week and I will attend all the meetings. Our goal must be reached,” he said.
