Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister MB Patil had an eye-opening situation in store for him on Monday. The minister who visited the 770 Amaraganadishara temple with his entourage on the occassion of Shivarathri, tried to offer his prayers by superseding the devotees who were already waiting for the ‘darshan’.

However, to the surprise of MB Patil, a college-going student asked the minister, “Shouldn’t you be standing in queue like the other people?”

Surprised by the unexpected question of the young girl, the Home Minister said, “I always stand in queue, but today, I have two programmes to attend in Hubballi and a flight to catch to fly back to Bengaluru.”

Patil also said that he had zero traffic privileges accorded to him. Convinced by his reply, the young girl took some pictures with the minister.

Impressed by the spirit of the girl, Patil tweeted, “Proud to have met a daring girl who asked a minister to follow the set rules. The incident took place at our BLDE university campus temple. Education is the tool which is developing such strong mindsets”.
