Stolen gold worth Rs.4.3 crore recovered in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka Police on Friday recovered stolen gold worth about Rs.4.3 crore, a police officer said on Friday. Four people were held in this connection.


The recovery was made after Rajesh Bhatt, a jeweller, lodged a complaint that the driver of a vehicle in which around 18 kg gold was being transferred from Kolkata to Bengaluru fled with the valuables.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi said Babu, a temporary driver, camped off with the gold on June 6. He was later joined by his friends Arun, Ajmal and Mansoor. All teh four have been arrested.
