Bengaluru: It seems there is no end to the opposition of the much-criticized steel flyover between Basaveshwara Circle and Hebbal. Now, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium has raised concern over the construction of the steel flyover. It has objected to the ramps on Raj Bhavan Road fearing that it will impede the view of the sky.

U R Rao, chairman of Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and requested him to make changes to the design of the steel flyover to ensure that the planetarium and sky-view remain unaffected.

According to Rao, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is one among the top 3 in the country. The planetarium organizes star gazing and several celestial-related events in the premises. It is learnt that chief minister had advised the BDA authorities to inspect the site and subsequent review of the design of the steel flyover if it is required. The BDA engineers would visit the planetarium on Thursday to evaluate the concerns raised by the management of the planetarium.
