Bengaluru: As many as 337 people tested positive for COVID-29 and 10 people succumbed taking the state’s tally to 8281 and death toll to 124.
Of the 10 deaths, seven are from Bengaluru Urban, two from Bidar, and one from Vijayapura.
Their details according to the state health department are:
P-7186: 65 years Female patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Complained of fever, known case of HTN. She was admitted on June 13 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on June 18.
P-7817: 78 years Male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as ILI. He was admitted on 16.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 18.06.2020.
P-7835: 66 years Female patient, resident of Vijayapura district. Diagnosed as SARI. She was admitted on 15.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Vijayapura. Died on 17.06.2020.
P-7959: 45 years Male patient, resident of Bidar district. With a history of return from Telangana. Complained of fever & breathlessness. He was admitted on 13.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bidar. Died on 18.06.2020.
P-7962: 70 years Male patient, resident of Bidar district. Diagnosed as SARI, complained of fever & breathlessness, known case of COPD. He was brought dead to the designated hospital, Bidar on 11.06.2020.
P-8094: 72 years Male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as SARI, complained of cough & Breathlessness. He was admitted on 15.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on 16.06.2020.
P-8178: 58 years Male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as SARI, known case of DM & HTN. He was admitted on 17.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban, and died on the same day.
P-8179: 50 years Male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as SARI, known case of DM. He was admitted on 17.06.2020 at the designated hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on the same day.
P-8199: 54 years Male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Complained of fever & cough. He was admitted on 18.06.2020 at a private hospital, Bengaluru Urban. Died on the same day.
P-8203: 69 years Male patient, resident of Bengaluru Urban district. Diagnosed as SARI, with a history of return from Maharashtra, known case of DM & ALD. He died at quarantine center Bengaluru Urban on 17.06.2020.
The break-up of the other cases: Bengaluru Urban (138), Kalaburagi (52), Ballari (37), Hassan (18), Dakshina Kannada (13), Davanagere (12), Udupi (11), Bidar (10), Mysuru (6), Koppal (6), Yadagir (4), Kolar (4), Bengaluru Rural (4), Mandya (3), Dharwad (3), Chikkaballapura (3), Bagalkot (3), Ramanagar (3), Tumakuru (2), Chikkamagaluru (2), Belagavi (1), Uttara Kannada (1), and Shivamogga (1).
Of the 13 people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Dakshina Kannada district, four recently returned from Saudi Arabia, seven returned from Sharjah, and two have been diagnosed with influenza-like illness (the bulletin does not specify any contact or travel history). Of the 13 patients, seven are men and six are women.
As many as 230 patients were discharged today, bringing the total number of discharges to 5210. There are a total of 2943 active COVID-19 cases in the state and there are 78 patients in the ICU. Additionally, four patients died of non-COVID causes.
