Bengaluru: Karnataka reported a record 6,128 new COVID-19 cases and 83 deaths on Thursday, July 30. This brings the total number of confirmed novel coronavirus infections to 1,18,632 and death toll to 2,230.
Bengaluru Urban alone reported 2,233 cases and Mysuru reported 430 new infections. Ballari reported 343 new cases.
While a record 3,793 people were discharged after making a full recovery from the disease today, 620 people are being treated in ICUs across the state.
The breakup of the fresh cases are: Udupi (248), Bengaluru Rural (224), Kalaburagi (220), Belagavi (202), Dakshina Kannada (198), Dharwad (180), Raichuru (166), Shivamogga (143), Bagalakote (126), Chikkamagaluru (126), Vijayapura (124), Uttara Kannada (120), Ramanagara (106), Tumakuru (104), Hassan (94), Gadag (88), Mandya (87), Davanagere (86), Chikkaballapura (82), Koppala (78), Bidar (69), Yadagir (58), Haveri (58), Chitradurga (47), Kolar (32), Chamarajanagara (32), and Kodagu (24).
There are 69,700 active COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, a total of 46,694 have been discharged. Additionally, eight people have died of non-COVID causes.
