Bangalore :State Minister for Information and Haj R Roshan Baig has said that the State Government has decided to implement  a health insurance scheme for journalists.

In a written reply to a query from Gopalaiah K, MLA of Mahalakshmi Layout constituency, the Minister said that initially the scheme will be extended only to the 1337 recognised journalists  in the state.

It will be later extended to others based on the success of the initial phase, he informed.
