Bengaluru: With the academic year 2020-21 likely to be the zero academic year, the state education department decided to launch two educational TV channels.

“These two channels will be exclusively used to hold academic classes for the children between Std I and XII,” said S Suresh Kumar, primary and secondary education department.

Speaking to reporters in Mandya, he stated that now the department has shortlisted the teachers who are good in holding the classes.

He also made it clear that the state government is not in a hurry to re-start the classes. “Our first priority is health of the students,” he said.
