Bengaluru: After ordering the judicial investigation into the White Topping and Tender Sure works, now the state government has ordered an investigation into the Indira canteen scheme and the Nagarottana schemes.

A decision in this regard was taken in the state cabinet meeting held on Monday evening.

According to the sources, it has been alleged that a private company from New Delhi was favoured in the Indira canteen scheme while in the implementation of the Nagorattana scheme, contractors close to the Congress and the JD(S) were favoured.

It is also alleged that the amount fixed for the works were doubled after finalising the contracts.

Meanwhile, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao alleged that, by ordering an investigation, the state government is trying to cancel the popular schemes of the previous governments. “It is nothing but vendetta politics,” he alleged.
