State Govt makes SSLC Compulsory for Grade D Employees

Bangalore: The state cabinet approved the proposal to hike the qualifications of government grade D employees from Class VII to Class X, and government employees of grade II from Class X to II PUC.

Addressing the assembly, the law minister T B Jayachandra said the decision in this regard has been taken keeping pace with rising literacy level and demand.  The amendments to government service Act of 1978 and 1997 will be made to incorporate the changes, said minister Jayachandra.

It was decided to withdraw case on Dalmia Cement at Gulbarga, to sanction Rs 5.17 crore for buying laboratory equipments to Rajeev Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital, Rs 7.8 crore to buy CT scanner at state-run hospital in Hassan, said minster Jayachandra.
