State Govt appoints Chairpersons for 91 Boards and Corporations

Bengaluru: The state government has appointed 91 persons including 21 MLAs, as chairpersons of different boards and corporations in the state.
Local language should be official medium of instruction: CM-1Malikayya Venkayya Guttedar has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Housing Board, according to an official release.

R V Devaraj was made Chairman, Karnataka Slum Clearance Board. There were rumours on Deveraj being adamant of becoming Chairman of Karnataka State Transport Corporation and Minister for Transport Ramalinga Reddy was against to it.

K Venkatesh has been nominated as Chairman of Benglauru Development Authority (BDA) while Rajasekhara B Patil was given charge of Chairman of Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL).

N Nagaraj has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Limited while Firoz Sait has been given the charge of Chairman of Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation.

K Gopala Poojary has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Forest Development Corporation Limited while K Puttaranga Setty has been given the charge of Chairman of Karnataka Road Development Corporation.

Rahim Khan has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Warehousing Corporation while K Vasant Bangera has been given the charge of Chairman of Karnataka State Small Industries Development Corporation Limited.

B R Yavagalla has been nominated as Chairman of Hutti Gold Mines Company Limited while M K Somasekhar has been given the charge of Chairman of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation Limited.

Shivananda S Patil has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board while Hampanagouda Badarli has been given the charge of Chairman of Mysore Sales International Limited.

H R Alagur has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited while D Sudhakar has been given the charge of Chairman of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation (KEONICS).

Baburao Chinchansur has been nominated as Chairman of Karnataka Border Area Development Authority while Sharada Mohan Shetty has been given the charge of Chairperson of Coastal Development Authority.

S Y Gopala Krishna has been nominated as Chairperson of the Committee on Implementation of Dr. D M Nanjundappa’s Committee Report while Hampayya Nayak Ballatgi has been given the charge of Chairman of Tungabadra Command Area Development Authority.
