Bengaluru: With the idea of bringing down the administrative expenses, the state government has started the merger process of three departments.
These include Kannada and Culture, Youth Empowerment and Sports and the Tourism department.
All these three departments will be now headed by CT Ravi, Chikkamagalur MLA.
According to the authorities, the merger decision was taken by a cabinet sub committee headed by Revenue minister R Ashok. This committee has senior officers including Munish Moudgil as the members.
