Spl facilities given to Sasikala as per CM’s suggestion: Rao

Bengaluru: In a recent statement that is bound to send shock waves, former DGP (Prison) H N Sathyanarayana Rao has claimed that speial facilities were provided to Sasikala Natarajan in Parappana Agrahara prison as per the directions of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Rao, who was alleged to have taken bribe to provide special facilities to Sasikala, is currently facing an ACB probe.

Speaking to media persons, Sathyanarayana Rao said, “The case is under trial in the High Court, so I will not divulge much about this. All pieces of evidence are in the court. I had provided the facilities according to the direction of the CM.”

Understanding the seriousness of the matter, CM Siddaramaiah spoke to media persons at his official residence Krishna and said that a committee from Tamil Nadu had met him and complained that even a mat or pillow was not provided to Sasikala in the jail. Later, I spoke to Sathyanarayan and directed him to give whatever facilities can be given as per the rules, and not for any special treatments.
