Southern Railways to operate special trains

Bengaluru: To clear the extra rush of passengers during Christmas and Pongal, special trains will be operated between Kochuveli and Bengaluru Cantonment.

According to a release from the South Western Railways, the Kochuveli-Bengaluru Cantonment Suvidha Superfast Special (No. 633) will leave Kochuveli at 6.35 p.m. on December 27 and January 3 (Sundays) and arrive in Bengaluru Cantonment at 8.10 a.m. on December 28 and January 4 (Mondays) respectively.

In the return direction, the Bengaluru Cantonment-Kochuveli Suvidha Superfast Special (No. 634) will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 7.15 p.m. on December 28 and January 4 (Mondays) and arrive in Kochuveli at 8.35 a.m. on December 29 and January 5 (Tuesdays).

The train will have stoppages at Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Trissur, Palghat, Coimbatore, Erode, and Krishnarajpuram in both directions, the release said.
