Six held for murder in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The Kengeri police have arrested six persons on the charge of murder. The police have identified the arrested persons as Suresh alias Suri (28), Shivakumar alias Kumar (24), Avinash alias Avi (22), Somasekhar alias Soma (19), all of them staying at 2nd floor of Hamsa Bar & Restaurant, Chikkalasandra Main Road, Uttarahalli, Kanakaraj alias Kanaka (24), c/o RK Chicken Centre, and N Nagaraj (38), a resident of 1st Cross, Sharadamma Garden, Bendre Nagar, Padmanabhanagara.The police have seized two two-wheelers which were used for the murder. According to the police, the victim, Suresh alias Lodde, a rowdy-sheeter, used to visit Hamsa Bar and Restaurant often to have liquor and dinner. Lodde used to threaten the employees of the bar and restaurant with deadly weapons when they demanded him to pay for the liquor and dinner. The police said the arrested persons hatched a plan to eliminate him. They beaten him when he again threatened them on February 28 night. They strangulated him with a cable and threw the body into a drain situated behind Venkateswara theatre in Kengeri police limits.

The police have registered a case against the accused.
