Bengaluru: Former CM Siddaramaiah has confessed that the Congress surrendered the Tumakuru Lok Sabha constituency in order to retain Mysuru.

Participating in a social media dialogue, Siddu stated that the JDS was demanding the Mysuru LS constituency. “But after analysing the party’s position, we wanted to retain Mysuru. So, we left Tumakuru for the JDS, even though the incumbent MP belongs to the Congress party,” he explained.

He also expressed confidence of winning in all the 28 constituencies in the Lok Sabha election. “We are ahead in over 20 constituencies. At the national level, the UPA will win more than 300 seats,” he said.

On the difference of opinion with JDS, he said that an alliance is needed to keep communal forces at bay. “But we will resolve all of them,” he said.
