Bengaluru: The Siddaganga Matt seer, 111-year-old Shivakumara Swamiji has been admitted to BGS Global Hospital in the city after he complained of fever and low blood pressure on January 25.

His health is being closely monitored by the hospital doctors and his condition is said to be stable.

He already has 5 stents in his body and is responding to treatment, said Dr. Ravindra. Few tests have been carried out and X-rays taken to assess the condition, he added.

Arrangements have been made in the hospital for the seer to perform routine prayers and rituals.

Sri Jagadguru Basava Jaya Mrityunjaya Swamiji of Kudalasangama Matt visited the hospital to inquire about the health of the centenarian seer, who is being repeatedly hospitalised due to age related problems.
