Bengaluru: Bengaluru city and Central range have been placed on red alert after shots were fired at a car on the outskirts of the city this morning in which two people were injured. The incident took place at 10.40 am. According to the police, the miscreants fired six bullets.

Two men on a motorcycle shot at the car of K Srinivasa, who heads one of the city’s Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMC). The shooting took place when Srinivasa’s Honda City slowed down at a traffic signal.
Srinivasa, who had been arrested in 2013 and released on bail, is facing a series of criminal charges including murder. He and his driver Murthy were rushed to hospital.
According to reliable soruces, Kadabagere Srinivas is a close aide of Yelahanka MLA S R Vishwanath and he recently quit BJP and joined Congress. The sources said Srinivas is a rowdy-sheeter and brother of rowdy ‘poison’ Rama.
