Bengaluru: Shiv Sena spokesperson and MP Sanjay Raut has created controversy equating Karnataka – Maharashtra boundary dispute to Kashmir, calling it as ‘Belgav Files’.

In a tweet titled ‘Belgav Files’ in Marathi, Raut posted a caricature that showed so-called excesses meted out to helpless Marathi-speaking people. He further called it murder of democracy.

However, Belagavi District Kannada Organisations Action Committee alleged that he has been out to create a rift between Kannadigas and Marathis for long, whereas both the communities were living harmoniously in the State.
