Several Organisations in the city agitate over Peshawar attack

Bengaluru: In the wake of the inhumane attack on 136 students of an Army school at Peshawar in Pakistan several organizations in the city organized  condolence  meets and protests on Wednesday December 17, to display their distress at the brutal gunning down of the innocent students.

Women social activists protest

Women social activists staged a  blind fold protest  in Ongole against the Peshawar massacre on Tuesday. Covering their eyes with black cloth, the activists, led by Mahila Abhyudaya Samiti president T. Aruna, assembled in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi road. They raised slogans against terrorism and wished better sense prevailed upon Taliban.

Surajyam Org. hold a silent rally

Members of Surajyam, led by its honorary president and Member of Parliament N. Sivaprasad, took out a silent rally from Annamayya Circle to M.R. Palle Circle. Condemning the dastardly act by Taliban, they wore black ribbons to cover their mouth.

Dr. Sivaprasad said combating terrorism was a major challenge for countries across the globe and emphasized the need for a collective effort in eliminating the menace. He termed the Peshawar massacre as a “cowardly act”, with no regard for human life.

BJP holds a demonstration

BJP cadre, led by its district secretary Samanchi Srinivas, organized a candle light demonstration at the local Nalugu Kalla Mandapam condemning the brutality of Taliban.

Schools offer condolences on the Taliban brutality

Students of Future Kid’s School organized a programme during which they displayed placards condemning the Peshawar massacre. They raised slogans against terrorism and lit lamps to express their condolences. School director Ravi Babu, principal R. Ravindranath and teachers also joined the students.

In the city, Blind students participate in a demonstration to protest against Tuesday`s attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan, that claimed 148 lives mostly those of children.

The Students of Pushpagiri School, led by its director M. Vivekananda Reddy, also took out a protest rally from Nagarajupet to Seven Roads junction, and burnt an effigy of terrorism.

Reddy called for efforts by India to curb terrorism by developing sophisticated gadgets and chalk out plans to root out the evil.
