Bengaluru: The Congress has shortlisted seven MLAs and MLCs to be the parliamentary secretaries. One of them is Congress leader from Mangaluru and Member of Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza.

According to the Karnataka Congress Committee sources, the other six parliamentary secretaries are Sowmya Reddy (daughter of Congress leader and seven-time MLA Ramalinga Reddy), Anjali Nimbalkar, Mahantesh S Koujalagi, Roopa Shashidhar, K Govindaraj and Raghavendra Hitnal.

The party sources said that Sharanabasappa Darshanapur has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the state planning commission. V Muniyappa will be the political secretary to the Chief Minister. Dr. Ajay Singh, son of former CM late Dharam Singh has been appointed as the state’s special representative in New Delhi.
