Separate Protests staged for Different Issues in Maddoor

Mandya: Separate protests were staged in the limits of Maddoor taluk in Mandya district, to address the different issues of local peasants.

The residents of Gejjalagere, Kudaragundi and Sadolalu villages laid road blockade on NH urging the state authorities to fix a scientific rate of Rs 3,500 for sugarcane.

The protesters hurled slogans against the state government and Mandya district-in-charge Minister Ambarish blocking the national highway disrupting the traffic for a few hours.

The protesters urged Minister Ambarish to take up the issue of fixing scientific rate of Rs 3,500 for sugarcane with the state government in order to help the farmers in difficult times, urged the protesters.

The activists of Raita Sangh laid a seizure to taluk office, urging the taluk administration to issue title deeds in Maddoor town panchayat and rectify the mistakes in BPL cards.
