Bangalore: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to mining baron and former Karnataka minister G Janardhan Reddy in an illegal mining case involving Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC).
In December last year, the apex court had asked the CBI to have a relook at the conditions imposed for grant of bail to Reddy.

In his petition, Reddy had sought bail arguing he had been in jail for more than three years and that he was in poor health.
The SC had last July said that if trial against Reddy was not completed in six months, it would mull giving bail to Reddy.
Reddy has already been granted bail a special CBI court in five cases registered against him in connection with illegal export of ore from Belikeri port, Karwar.
