Bengaluru: “Cyanide Mallika”, who happens to be the neighbouring inmate of detained AIADMK leader V K Sasikala in Parappana Agrahara central prison, has reportedly been shifted from the prison for security reasons.Cyanide Mallika aka K D Kempamma, was arrested in 2008 and is serving a life term in connection with the serial murders of rich women whom she would befriend and later poison to death with cyanide before decamping with their valuables.

The move to transfer Mallika to Hindalga prison in Belagavi comes after media raised concerns that the notorious convict may pose a threat to Sasiklala. However, a media report mentions that Mallika used help Sasikala by bringing food for her in the prison.

Interestingly, Mallika is said to be an avid fan of J Jayalalithaa and keenly wanted to meet her during her 2014 prison term. The AIADMK leader too shared a cordial relationship with Cyanide Mallika.

As prisoner No 9234, Sasikala shares 10 feet by 8 feet cell, with a bathroom separated by a wall, with her sister-in-law Illavarasi in Parappana Agrahara central prison.
