Bengaluru: Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda assured support to over 500 students who missed the NEET UG examination on Sunday, due to the late arrival of the Hampi Express in the city.

In a tweet, he informed that he has already spoken to the National Testing Agency (NTA) authorities about the issue. “I will talk to the MHRD minister in this regard,” he said.

“I came across the incident on Sunday afternoon itself. I am discussing the issue with the officials. I am confident of helping the students,” he informed.

Meanwhile, ABVP, the students’ wing of the BJP and RSS, also urged Union MHRD minister Prakash Javdekar to hold re-examinations for all the students who missed the NEET due to the train’s delay.
