Bengaluru: Former chief minister and BJP senior leader S M Krishna, who has not been in limelight after joining BJP, is all set to be active in politics again. The former CM will share the stage with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the valedictory of Navakarnataka Nirmana Parivarthana Yathre in Bengaluru.
According to the party sources, S M Krishna will participate in the valedictory programme of the Parivarthana Yathre as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be there on February 4 and discussions will be held on party organization on the backdrop of upcoming Assembly elections.
S.M Krishna didn’t recognize himself with the Parivarthana Yathre in spite of invitation. Though inauguration was held in Bengaluru itself, he didn’t turn up. He was absent even during the visit of Uttara Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adithyanath. Later, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar and former deputy chief minister R Ashok visited the veteran leader in his resident at Sadashiva Nagara and requested him to participate in Yathre valedictory programme on February 4.
It is said that Krishna has agreed to the invitation and if so it would be a big boost for the BJP to influence its Okkaliga voters as he is still known as a powerful leader of the community and one who plotted the idea of modern Bengaluru.
