Bengaluru: An unidentified man stole a bag containing Rs. 11 lakh from a vehicle parked outside the Karnataka Bank ATM kiosk on K.H. Road here on Saturday evening. The incident took place at around 6.30 p.m.

The incident took place when the fellow employees of CMS Infosystems had gone from the vehicle to load the cash into ATM machine. The driver was in the vehicle with another cash bag, while the other two were busy loading cash in the machine, the police said.

Meantime, an unidentified man approached the driver and pointed out that some currency of Rs. 10 had fallen on the road. When the driver alighted from the vehicle to pick up the currency, the man took away the cash bag that was kept in the vehicle and fled, the police added.

The police said the CCTV camera footage shows three men, including the one who distracted the driver, wandering around the ATM kiosk suspiciously. Besides, the footage shows that the CMS employees neither raised an alarm nor were shocked when they realised that a man had stolen the cash bag from their vehicle. So we suspect their involvement in the crime,” police sources investigating the case said.
