Bengaluru: Uneasy calm has gripped the Silicon City and the rising number of crime incidents have left Bengalureans in a state of shock.
On Wednesday morning, yet another murder took place as a rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death in Basaveshwaranagar area.
Sunil, a resident of Kamalanagar was attacked by a gang of four to five armed men. While Sunil succumbed to injuries on the spot, his mother, who was along with him suffered severe injuries.
It is said that when attackers launched the attack, Sunil, who could not run too far, managed to take refuge in a house on Chandrappa road. But the attackers pulled him out of the house and hacked him to death.
Several cases stand registered against Sunil in Basaveshwaranagar police station. The area turned tense after the killing and police have beefed up security.
DCP Anucheth has said that two attempt to murder cases were against Sunil and that he was out of jail only 10 days ago.
