Bengaluru: In a yet another shocking incident reported in the city, a rowdy sheeter was chased and hacked to death in front of public on Pipeline Road in Vijayanagar layout on Wednesday late evening, April 27.
The deceased has been identified as Harsha (25), a resident of Magadi road.
A gang of four attacked him with lethal weapons, whipped him recklessly on the road while he was returning home.
The deceased was a rowdy sheeter in Magadi road police station limits and was facing several criminal charges including attempt to murder, extortion and other cases.
According to police, his murder is said to be a revenge act by a rival gang for an unsuccessful murder attempt pitched against one of the accused gang members.
Police sources said that two men involved in the case have surrendered on Thursday morning, but is yet to be confirmed.
