Bengaluru: Minister for Bangalore Development K J George held a meeting with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) on coordination between the two civic agencies with regard to restoration of roads after completion of BWSSB works.
It was decided in the meeting that the BWSSB would pay only supervisory charges and not road cutting charges and fill the road with quarry dust, wet mix and level it before asphalting work to be taken up by the BBMP.
The minister also held a meeting with Soma technologies with regard to road tunneling projects and low cost housing schemes.
Giving a presentation a company representative explained to the minister with regard to adoption of latest technology in taking up road tunnel by citing similar projects in countries such as Malaysia.
The minister suggested to the company to come out with a trial survey of some roads in the city and submit a report to the government for consideration.
Mahanagara Palike Mayor G Padmavathi, Deputy Mayor Ananda, Ruling Party leader in the Council Mohammed Rizwan Nawab, Urban Development Additional Chief Secretary Mahendra jain, BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad, BMRCL Managing Director Pradeep Singh Kharola, Bangalore Development Authority Commissioner Rakesh Singh and others were present.
