
Bengaluru: The State government has allowed marriages held in homes after revision of rules for wedding. The new modified order states that marriages with 40 people in attendance can be held at residences.
No marriages can be held in marriage halls or public spaces. The permission must be obtained for the marriage from Joint Commissioner if it is to be held in a house within municipal limits . For rest of the places, the tahsildars permission should be obtained.
Along with the application for holding the marriage, a wedding invitation must be submitted to the authorities concerned for receiving the passes for the guests.
The government decision came amidst reports that marriages are still resulting in a huge spread of Covid 19 infection among the guests.
