Bengaluru: Renowned Dalit writer, poet and intellectual K B Siddaiah died at a private hospital in the city in the wee hours of Friday, October 18.

It can be recalled that Siddaiah had sustained serious injuries in a car accident last week. He was rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru for treatment.

Siddaiah, a popular name in the Kannada literally world, was an English professor. He was also a recipient of the Sahithya Akademi Award in the year 2004.
