Bengaluru: ‘Religion is for humanity, not humanity for religion’ Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that Krishna, who was born as a human, never took up weapons but ascended to divinity.
Speaking at the inauguration of Sri Krishna Jayanthi celebrations organized by the Department of Kannada and Culture at Ravindra Kala Kshetra, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized that religion signifies love for humanity. He expressed that it is unjust to promote hatred among humans in the name of religion, labeling it as adharma. Siddaramaiah highlighted how Lord Krishna, despite not wielding weapons, fought against the injustice of human hatred and successfully established dharma.
“Those who defend the Constitution should hold power. Don’t let those who oppose it control the country,” he said.
