Rebellions Galore in Congress owing to Denial of Party Tickets

Bangalore: The chances of rebellions would increase as KPCC has allegedly neglected veteran Congressmen by issuing party tickets to migrant politicians in a few legislative constituency to contest in the upcoming assembly elections. At the backdrop of strong waves in favour of Congress are felt in the state that has given rise to ticket aspirants.

The supporters of Revanna picketed the office of KPCC, to express their displeasure, while the leaders of different units including Hebbal block Congress tender mass resignations.  The supporters of the former minister A Krishnppa also expressed their anguish over denying party ticket to contest from K R Puram constituency.  Most of the party activists expressed their displeasure for neglecting the grass root party workers who are working relentlessly to strengthen the party since several years.  Congress leader Choundrirangappa and ticket aspirant movie producer K Manju – their supporters staged protest opposing issuing party ticket to Geetha Rajanna to contest the elections from Turuvekere assembly constituency.

Mandya District Congress president Dr Murti who was the ticket aspirant to contest the assembly elections from Malavalli constituency was in tears in front of party activists when he was denied party ticket.

JDS is trying to get leverage of the situation in Congress.  It has given the option to Krishnappa and Revanna who are the victims of denial of Congress ticket to allow them to contest on JDS ticket in a few constituencies.
