Bengaluru: In another major U-turn, rebel Congress leader Ramesh Jarakiholi has now stated that he is not going to resign from the party now.

Speaking to reporters, Jarakiholi stated that he is going to resign, however, there is no use in him doing it alone. “So, all the rebels will submit their resignation together,” he said.

“The date of resigning will be finalised soon,” he said.

“In the 2023 election, I will contest from the Yamakanamaradi constituency against Satish Jarakiholi. Lakhan will contest from Gokak. It was Satish who started the rebel activities by misleading me,” he said.

He also accused Chikkaballapura MLA Dr Sudhakar of being responsible for “all this”.

Hitting out at major irrigation minister D K Shivakumar for his statement against him, Ramesh said, “DKShi is not of my level. I will talk only to AICC president Rahul Gandhi,” he said.
