Bengaluru: The Congress national leadership, buoyed by their win in three of the recently held assembly elections in North India, cracked the whip against the rebel activities in the state. In a surprising move, the party has decided to drop Ramesh Jarakiholi from the state cabinet.
It can be recalled that Ramesh Jarakiholi has not been attending Cabinet meetings since the last five months as a pressure tactic. He is expected to be replaced by his brother Satish Jarakiholi.
Forest minister R Shankar, who is an independent MLA, is also being dropped from the state Cabinet.
“These ministers are being dropped from the state cabinet. A few more ministers from the Congress quota are also expected to be dropped from the Cabinet. But there are no changes in the JDS ministers,” informed a Congress minister.
