Bengaluru: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi (RaGa) will launch the Congress party’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in the state on March 7.

According to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) sources, RaGa will address his first rally in the run-up to the Lok Sabha election at Haveri which is presently represented by BJP MP Shiva Kumar Udasi.

According to KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao, the party has already started preparations for the RaGa rally. “We want to send a clear message to the communal forces that Congress will return to power at the centre in this election,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Congress state unit will get three more working presidents soon “A Vokkaliga, a SC (left) and a Muslim leader will get these posts. With this the total number of working presidents will increase to four,” said a senior Congress leader.
