Bengaluru: Private schools in the state will suspend online classes for students on Tuesday, December 8, in solidarity with the ongoing farmers’ protest in Delhi. Tests and online exams scheduled to be held on for Tuesday, however, will be conducted as slated.

Karnataka Unaided School Management Association general secretary Shashi Kumar informed that the decision to suspend online classes for a day was taken by over 3000 schools

It can be recalled that farmers’ unions all across the country have called for a Bharat bandh on December 8 in protest against three farm laws that were enacted by the Union Government.

Stating that the plight of the farmers might be out plight one day, Shashi Kumar told TNM that compensation for Tuesday will be made by taking classes on another day.

“We want the government to hear our issues, care about our plight and provide pragmatic solutions,” he added, TNM reported.
