Pvt company staffers robbed of Rs 20 lakh at knife point

Bengaluru: Two employees of a private company were robbed of Rs 20 lakh by three youths near a bank at Indiranagar in Bengaluru on Monday.

According to the police, Sufiyan and Abrar, who work for a private company at Horamavu were at Dhanalaxmi Bank to deposit the cash on behalf of the company at around 3 pm. When Abrar parked his two-wheeler in front of the bank, the gang on another bike stopped right next to them. The police said the gang had been following Sufiyan and Abrar.

According to the police, the two men riding pillion tried to snatch the bag that Sufiyan was holding. When he resisted, they attacked him with a knife on his chest and limb.

The police said there was no CCTV footage available since the camera installed at the entrance of the bank was not facing the road.
