PU student jumps to death from 7th floor

Bengaluru: A 17-year-old PU student jumped from the 7th floor of his apartment building in JP Nagar 7th Phase, Arekere, on Tuesday. The police have identified the deceased as Karthik, son of Srinivas, who runs a software firm in the city.
The police said that Srinivas, after returning from work, found Karthik in the room and asked him why he had not gone for the tuitions. Karthik’s mother intervened and tried to explain why he had not gone. Srinivas started arguing with Karthik and upset over this, the boy ran from the house and jumped from the balcony. The parents ran to the spot and found him lying in a pool of blood. The security staff alerted Hulimavu police who shifted the body for postmortem.

Srinivas, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was settled in the city from the last few years. Karthik was a student of Alliance University College on Bannerghatta Road.
